from ho-hum to oh-yum!
ittle green tables that have gone unloved for awhile tend to gather at our doorstep. They’re just naturally drawn to our DIY spirit, in hopes that they, too, will one day end up on the blog. Such was the case with this sad (but cute and full of potential) little thrift store find for $8. A little love, some spray paint and a DIY coral stencil later, this table is ready to grace someone’s home proudly and stylishly. Watch how we got from ho-hum to oh-yum!
Before
We painted it with a flat black paint first, then a white semi gloss. We scuffed up the edges a little to make it shabby chic (did I really say shabby chic?)
Then, using a Martha Stewart coral stencil as a visual guide, we free-handed our own stencil in a larger size. Yes, we know photocopiers enlarge things, we just don’t own one.
After cutting out the stencil, we dabbed it with bright coral acrylic paint.
And here is our finished coral DIY table.
