plate + wall = instant charm

lates and platters are a great way to make a statement on a wall. I have been working on our guest room recently and wanted to add some depth and character to the wall above the dresser. I already had a vintage oil painting that I love, but I felt it needed something around it. I found some great vintage looking platters for $7 each at Ross and added three small vintage Fitz + Floyd plates that I already had. A sort of free-form display took shape, as I played around with placement. Somehow it manages to look colonial and cool at the same time. The other photos are what inspired me (from Imperfectly Beautiful, Mabel’s House and Apartment Therapy, respectively), and the last photo is a plate wall I’m currently selling on www.etsy.com/shop/makeready.
