e've always had a soft spot in our hearts for the community of Atwater, CA. A pocket neighborhood of Los Angeles that captures the best that LA has to offer: small, neighborhood businesses in a Village atmosphere and
friendly walkable streets filled with young families pushing strollers on their way to the Farmer's Market every Sunday.
We had the pleasure of recently staging a couple of rooms in an Atwater home that was redone to perfection. The investors opened up a series of rabbit warren rooms to one big open floor plan to great effect.
Room and Board’s Jasper Studio Sofa grounds the room and adds a note of sophistication. We paired it with two Bertoia side chairs, a white shag rug and a vintage Mid Century modern cocktail table. Original art by Jeremy Kennedy (on right) and Gina Kelly.
We found the small black Mid Century modern side table at Pepe’s on Sunset and sourced the vintage lamp at a thrift store in Pensacola, FL.

We love built-ins (not just because we love to stage them!) but because they offer so many great storage opportunities. OK, we mainly just love to stage them.
A glimpse into the dining room. We chose industrial style counter height bar stools because the modern kitchen needed a little earthy edge.
Another Jeremy Kennedy original on the left and a vintage French movie poster. We paired dark navy Tolix chairs with one red chair around an IKEA DOCKSTA table.
A couple of annoying detail shots. Bear with us, folks…
