COVO: Staging a Silverlake New-Build

The new Silverlake, CA small-lot residential development by our client Planet Home Living was one of our favorites to stage. We wanted a clean B&W and neutral palette - featuring matte black lighting, cozy white textures and lots of textile layering. We shopped CB2 for their modern cognac leather chairs and concrete Shroom Table, and West Elm for their small-scale gray sofa. A flokati rug, vintage end table and handmade credenza finish our living room story. All photos by Christopher Lee.

West Elm's glow-y globe table lamp echoes the coffee table's spherical lines. A dragon plant has a Dr. Suess-like feel in the corner. Pepe's Furniture in Echo Park made the credenza.

It's CB2's Terreno chair with a locally sourced vintage side table.

The Shroom coffee table from CB2 brings just the right amount of white-out to the space and a modern Scandi vibe.

We always say, "If you can't find it, make it." Or, in this case, have it made. Pepe's Furniture constructs fine reproductions of Mid Century modern credenzas with clean lines.

We love a good vignette, but we know we have to show you the wide shot from time to time too.

These are the Resonate counter stools from Industry West. We love 'em.

Thank you, H&M Home, for your glorious linen bedding! And we even love using their tablecloths layered on beds (just don't tell anyone). It's CB2 again for the sconces (I know, but we love that store). A simple jute rug and a MCM chair round out the mix.

This Eames House Bird is EVERYTHING. Oh, and Living Spaces makes a great knock-off of the famous West Elm nightstand.

All Modern's matte black lamps add a sculptural line atop light wood nightstands we found at Target. West Elm's bedding brings texture.

Local artist Katy Abramson made the macrame wall hanging.

We found the modern chiminea on Hayneedle and the metal chairs from Wayfair.

A breezy Acapulco-style bench.
